MedStar contracted Tarrant County College to perform the monthly CEs for the First Responder Departments beginning August 1, 2006. For all of the Departments that were currently receiving monthly CEs from MedStar Instructors are now receiving this CE taught by TCC Instructors.

EPAB also offers Quarterly Continuing Education. This EPAB Quarterly CE is open to all responders in the MedStar System. EPAB requires various ancillary card courses for each level of credentialing in the EPAB System. All of these courses are offered by MedStar EMS and are open to all First Response Agencies. You can find all the dates of upcoming classes posted on the EPAB Calendar. We will make every effort to update those dates promptly after being notified of changes in the class schedule by the MedStar Training and Education Department.
Monthly First Responder meetings are the second Wednesday of every month. The attendance of all First Responder Agencies is requested and there is an expectation of 75% attendance throughout the year.

CQI reporting is mandatory per current EPAB Policy and is also required for First Responder Registration with the Texas Department of State Health Services. For agencies that use FireHouse software or similar, the following reports can be printed and submitted to EPAB to comply with the monthly reporting requirement.
